467 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

Ordered as TST467SO, this is an AS568-467 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 18.955 in (481.46 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 19.505 in (495.43 mm). The back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The material holds up against nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
