4MRF7 is a Reflex Gauge Glass. In service, this gauge glass delivers durable visual indication in high-pressure steam and water service.

The compound resists internal pressure, thermal shock, and chemical attack from water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Borosilicate gauge glass is specified for annealed for consistent strength and borosilicate construction for thermal shock resistance. It is not the right choice where abrasive cleaning or service beyond the rated pressure and temperature are present.

It sees regular use in process tanks and vessels, water treatment, and food and beverage processing.
