Part number V5X370 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 370 mm (14.567 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 380 mm (14.96 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

Typical settings include aerospace, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
