The 0283VB500 is a brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock measuring a cross section of 0.5 in (12.7 mm). This o-ring cord stock provides continuous extruded stock for building one-off or oversized rings. This item is further identified as 75 Duro Brown Fluoroelastomer ORING Cord.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
