0283500 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock supplied with a cross section of 0.5 in (12.7 mm). In service, this o-ring cord stock lets you fabricate a custom-size seal on site by cutting and splicing to the required circumference.

The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
