The 0284500X562 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A oval profile O-Ring Cord Stock built to a cross section of 0.562 in (14.27 mm). This o-ring cord stock supports field repair of oversized or non-standard sealing grooves without a special tooling charge.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists many alcohols, greases and lubricants, and water. Applications involving ketones or polar solvents call for a different compound.
