5/16" CARBON YARN WITH I.W. PACKING

APG stocks the 11820312-05, a Braided Inconel Wire Compression Packing with a 5/16 inch square cross section. A compression packing provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. The catalog record notes: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 70 FT.

Braided Inconel Wire is specified here for controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft, dependable service life when correctly adjusted. This material stands up to elevated temperature and pressure, shaft wear, and process media. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. Verify compatibility before use with over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush.

Typical settings include water and process plants, mixers and rotary equipment, and valves and agitators.
