5/16" GFO GRAPHITE/PTFE PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in G.F.O. Packing with a 5/16 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11800312-05. It is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. The catalog record notes: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 68 FT.

The compound resists elevated temperature and pressure, shaft wear, and process media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: G.F.O. Packing delivers field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking and a braided construction that conforms to the stuffing box. Rated for service to approximately 550°F. Exposure to running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland will shorten service life.
