The 11690312-01 is a PTFE Filament Impregnated Packing Compression Packing built to a 5/16 inch square cross section. PTFE Filament Impregnated Packing is specified here for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against oxidizing media, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.
