The 11790312-10 is a Carbon Filament/TFE Compression Packing built to a 5/16 inch square cross section. This compression packing offers the most economical repairable shaft seal for pumps and valves. Source specification: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 140 FT.

This material stands up to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. Carbon Filament/TFE is known for near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
