5/16" PURE GRAPHITE YARN FIBER PACKING

Part number 11750312-05 is a Graphite Filament Packing Compression Packing with a 5/16 inch square cross section. A compression packing seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set. The catalog record notes: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 100 FT.

This material stands up to steam, most chemicals across the pH range, and thermal shock. Graphite Filament Packing is specified for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time. It should not be specified for service in strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature.
