568-002 GREEN HNBR (HSN) 70 ORINGS

APG stocks the HS70002, an AS568-002 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.042 in (1.07 mm), a cross section of 0.05 in (1.27 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.142 in (3.61 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.
