568-012 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

Part number SV70012 is an AS568-012 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aerospace, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
