568-023 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70023, this is an AS568-023 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.051 in (26.7 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.191 in (30.25 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, steam, and wide temperature swings. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
