568-038 URETHANE 70 DURO ORINGS

APG stocks the U70038, an AS568-038 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.614 in (66.4 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.754 in (69.95 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to ozone, petroleum oils, and extrusion under high pressure. Polyurethane (AU/EU) is widely chosen for exceptional abrasion resistance and toughness that outperforms conventional rubber compounds. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 200°F (93.3°C). Applications involving ketones or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in press and forming equipment, off-highway equipment, and high-pressure fluid power.
