-040 BROWN FKM 90D O-RING

Ordered as VB90040, this is an AS568-040 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
