-040 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

The E80PC040 is an AS568-040 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. This material stands up to dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants.

Typical settings include outdoor equipment, brake and phosphate ester systems, and HVAC and refrigeration.
