568-040 GREEN HNBR (HSN) 70 ORINGS

The HS70040 is an AS568-040 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, excellent abrasion and tear strength. Expect good resistance to heat and oxidation, petroleum oils and fuels, and ozone and weathering. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones are present.

Common environments for this compound include automotive air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, and engine timing systems.
