Ordered as HSN90040, this is an AS568-040 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to sour gas and amine inhibitors, ozone and weathering, and modern refrigerants. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

Typical settings include automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and commercial refrigeration.
