568-040 URETHANE 70 DURO ORINGS

The U70040 is an AS568-040 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for toughness that outperforms conventional rubber compounds and outstanding extrusion resistance at elevated pressure. Expect good resistance to extrusion under high pressure, impact and shock loading, and abrasion and wear. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where acids and bases or ketones are present.

It sees regular use in hydraulic cylinders, construction machinery, and off-highway equipment.

Stocked as U70040 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 2 7/8 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
