This o-ring is supplied in AS568-042 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm), catalogued under part number HS70042. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

This material stands up to sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and petroleum oils and fuels. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

Typical settings include engine timing systems, oilfield and downhole equipment, and commercial refrigeration.
