Part number U70042 is an AS568-042 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified for very high tensile strength and load capacity, long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service. It resists petroleum oils, impact and shock loading, and extrusion under high pressure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). Exposure to acids and bases or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
