568-043 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

APG stocks the TES70043, an AS568-043 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.489 in (88.62 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.629 in (92.18 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

The material holds up against wide temperature swings, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and strong resistance to permeation. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
