HSN90048 is an AS568-048 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.739 in (120.37 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.879 in (123.93 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for excellent abrasion and tear strength, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. This material stands up to sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). It should not be specified for service in strong oxidizing acids or ketones.

It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
