-049 BROWN FKM 90D O-RING

VB90049 is an AS568-049 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.989 in (126.72 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.129 in (130.28 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in oil and gas, semiconductor equipment, and aerospace.
