This o-ring is supplied in AS568-050 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 5.239 in (133.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.379 in (136.63 mm), catalogued under part number HS70050. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. Expect good resistance to sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or ketones are present.

It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
