568-102 PTFE ORINGS FDA

The TFE102 is an AS568-102 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.049 in (1.24 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.255 in (6.48 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. The material holds up against steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, food and beverage, and chemical processing.

Stocked as TFE102 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1/16 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation.
