The SV70103 is an AS568-103 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.081 in (2.06 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.287 in (7.29 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is known for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or ketones and esters are present.
