TFE103 is an AS568-103 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.081 in (2.06 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.287 in (7.29 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
