568-106 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SH70106 is an AS568-106 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.174 in (4.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.38 in (9.65 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

It resists propane and butane, greases and lubricants, and water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or polar solvents are present.

Common environments for this compound include automotive, fluid power, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
