568-108 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70108, this is an AS568-108 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.237 in (6.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.443 in (11.25 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for strong resistance to permeation and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
