568-109 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80109 is an AS568-109 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.299 in (7.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.505 in (12.83 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, steam, and aggressive oxidizers. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.

Typical settings include food and beverage, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
