Ordered as SV70141, this is an AS568-141 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.3 in (58.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.506 in (63.65 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
