H50142 is an AS568-142 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.362 in (59.99 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.568 in (65.23 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or ozone and direct sunlight.
