568-147 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Part number TES70147 is an AS568-147 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.675 in (67.95 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.881 in (73.18 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing.
