568-154 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-154 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 3.737 in (94.92 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.943 in (100.15 mm), catalogued under part number TES70154. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Source specification: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for strong resistance to permeation and non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface. It resists strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
