568-157 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

The TES70157 is an AS568-157 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.487 in (113.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.693 in (119.2 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for strong resistance to permeation and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. The material holds up against wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing.
