568-161 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70161 is an AS568-161 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for strong resistance to permeation and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
