HSN90161 is an AS568-161 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers excellent abrasion and tear strength, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The material holds up against ozone and weathering, petroleum oils and fuels, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Applications involving ketones or chlorinated hydrocarbons call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include oilfield and downhole equipment, automotive air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration.
