Ordered as HSN90163, this is an AS568-163 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.987 in (152.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.193 in (157.3 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is valued for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The compound resists heat and oxidation, modern refrigerants, and ozone and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons are present.

Typical settings include engine timing systems, oilfield and downhole equipment, and automotive air conditioning.
