-164 BROWN FKM 90D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-164 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 6.237 in (158.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.443 in (163.65 mm), catalogued under part number VB90164. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters.

Typical settings include oil and gas, aerospace, and automotive fuel systems.
