APG stocks the H50166, an AS568-166 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.737 in (171.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.943 in (176.35 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Expect good resistance to petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or strong acids.

Typical settings include fluid power, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and construction equipment.
