Part number TES70166 is an AS568-166 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.737 in (171.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.943 in (176.35 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
