APG stocks the SV70166, an AS568-166 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.737 in (171.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.943 in (176.35 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and oil and gas.
