VITON75171 is an AS568-171 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
