-171 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

E80PC171 is an AS568-171 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is known for strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations, good electrical insulating characteristics. This material stands up to brake fluid, ketones, and dilute acids and alkalis. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.

Common environments for this compound include solar and roofing assemblies, water and steam systems, and potable water applications.
