HSN90171 is an AS568-171 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and heat and oxidation. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is widely chosen for the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to strong oxidizing acids or esters will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in heavy-duty powertrain, engine timing systems, and commercial refrigeration.
