U70171 is an AS568-171 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.987 in (202.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.193 in (208.1 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for very high tensile strength and load capacity, toughness that outperforms conventional rubber compounds. The material holds up against petroleum oils, ozone, and extrusion under high pressure. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 200°F (93.3°C).
