A80173 is an AS568-173 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) offers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. Expect good resistance to strong bases, amines and corrosion inhibitors, and sour gas and hydrogen sulfide. Rated temperature range runs from -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons.
