Ordered as E80PC173, this is an AS568-173 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, dilute acids and alkalis, and ozone, UV and weathering. EPDM (EPR) delivers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

Typical settings include solar and roofing assemblies, outdoor equipment, and water and steam systems.
